Privacy Policy
Last updated October 8, 2026
This policy explains what personal information ResGuide LLC (“ResGuide,” “we,” “us”) collects through our website, the Skym app, the emails we send, and our support, and what we do with it. By using our website or contacting us, you agree to this policy.
We keep things simple: we collect only what we need to send you the Skym Starter Pack, answer your questions, and keep the site running. We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
What we collect
- Starter Pack sign-ups. When you request the Skym Starter Pack, we collect your email address.
- Support requests. When you contact support, we collect your name, email address, the topic you choose, your message, and anything you send in later replies.
- Technical information. Like any website, our hosting provider processes standard request information (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver pages, keep the site secure, and block spam.
The Skym app doesn’t collect, store, or send us any personal information. We don’t offer user accounts, and we don’t ask for payment details: purchases of the Skym app and its in-app purchases are handled by Apple.
How we use it
- To email you the Starter Pack and help you set up Skym.
- To reply to your support requests.
- To send Starter Pack subscribers occasional Skym updates. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
- To keep our website secure and protect it from abuse.
- To comply with the law.
Depending on the situation, we rely on your consent, our need to provide what you asked for, our legitimate interest in running and securing our services, or our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run ResGuide. They process your information only on our behalf, to provide their service to us:
- Cloudflare: hosts our website and Starter Pack download, and runs Turnstile, the spam check on our forms.
- Resend: sends our emails, such as the Starter Pack email and support confirmations.
- Brevo: stores the email list of Starter Pack subscribers.
- Google Workspace: our email inbox, where support conversations live.
- YouTube: videos on our site load from YouTube (using youtube-nocookie.com) only after you press play. From then on, Google’s privacy policy applies to that video.
- Apple: handles App Store purchases under Apple’s own privacy policy.
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries. We don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we haven’t done so in the last 12 months.
Cookies
We don’t set advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare’s Turnstile spam check and YouTube videos (once you press play) may use cookies or similar technologies to do their jobs. We don’t respond to “Do Not Track” signals, but because we don’t track you across other websites, there’s nothing for them to switch off.
How long we keep it
- Starter Pack list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information.
- Support conversations: as long as needed to help you and keep reasonable records.
- Technical logs: kept by our hosting provider for a limited time, under its own policies.
When we delete information, copies in backups are generally removed within 365 days.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we have about you, and get a copy of it.
- Correct or update it.
- Delete it.
- Object to or restrict how we use it.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing.
- Move your information to another service.
- Opt out of any sale of your information (we don’t sell it).
- Not be treated differently for exercising these rights.
If you’re a California resident, you can also ask what categories of personal information we’ve collected, where it came from, why we collected it, and which categories of third parties we share it with.
To make a request, contact us through our support page (choose “Something else”), or reply to any email we’ve sent you. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Our website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and access to your information is limited to the people and providers who need it to run ResGuide. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access.
Children
Our website and services aren’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.
Links to other sites
Our site links to other websites, such as the App Store, YouTube, and Instagram. We’re not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so we encourage you to read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page.
