Skym FAQs

+ The SkymInstaller.pkg failed

The installer will fail if your library locations are not in the standard User/Music or User/Documents location. The solution is to move the necessary files yourself. The instructions for this are outlined in the readme.txt included in skym-downloads.

The readme.txt is part of the package download found here.

+ Does Skym work with Android or Windows?

Skym does not currently work with Android or Windows. We are in the process of developing an Android app as well as finding promising solutions for connecting iOS to Windows using technology from CME Pro.

+ I Do Not see my device listed in Audio MIDI Setup

Check the setup page to make sure both your iOS and OSX are up to date and meet the requirements. If either versions are before the listed requirements, your iOS device will not show up in Audio MIDI Setup

+ I do not see SkymAbleton listed in Ableton’s Control Surfaces

First, in the Library tab in Ableton preferences, check to see if and where your user library folder exists. Once a user library folder exists and is selected in this preferences tab, make sure the “SkymAbletonScript” folder is placed in this “User Library/Remote Scripts” folder. If “Remote Scripts” does not exist, create the folder, and place SkymAbletonScript in there.

The SkymAbletonScript is part of the package download found here.

If you are using Ableton v10.1.12 or less, read this.
